For the past few seasons, we have relied on the satellite phone for possible emergency communication while we are on the mountain. Things change from season to season; nowadays, we also carry a cell phone and radio phone on the mountain and safari. Openly, we dare to say that we mountain experts—that is to say, complete medical kits and equipment to deal with emergencies—travel with us. Also, there is KiliMedAir on the mountain; this is the company that provides helicopter services for search and rescue missions on Mt Kilimanjaro, as well as medical evacuation, wilderness clinics, etc.

Moreover, we work closely with this evacuation company and whenever you need your services, our office will assist without any extra cost. To make communication easy, at every camp nowadays there is WiFi access, and our guides can use the internet to access our office in town for any emergency.

Also, the staff of 40+ experienced guides and porters who travel with each group are the ones who we rely on for possible emergency response. If necessary, they could carry an injured person, and they can run from any location on our route to a road head and telephones in less than one day.
