What airport should I fly to?

The majority of those climbing Kilimanjaro and/or travelling on safari fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (Airport Code: JRO). Some find it more economical to fly to Nairobi, Kenya (Airport Code: NBO) and then take 6 to 8-hour shuttle transportation to Arusha or Moshi. Fly Emirates does not land at Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO, it lands only at Julius Nyerere International Airport-Dar es Salaam and Abeid Aman Karume International Airport-Zanzibar. From there, you can connect with a local flight to either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
