Arrival – Arusha town

Arriving at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), you will be greeted upon arrival by our warm, friendly guide(s). You will be transferred to the hotel in Arusha to rest and relax after the long international flight. During the daytime, on your way from KIA to the hotel, you may get the chance to view the mountain, which showed itself for some time before being shrouded in clouds.

Day 1: Hotel – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Moshi early with your guide/driver, who will be your constant companion throughout your safari, for Tarangire National Park with your picnic lunch boxes.

Tarangire National Park, gazette in 1970, is 118km away from Arusha town, which covers an area of 2600sq Km that is about 1600 miles. The park derived its name from the Tarangire River that flows through the center of the park. The river flows from south to northwest and empties its water in Lake Burungi. Spend the day in the park observing game such as elephant, wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo as they journey back and forth to the Tarangire River, an important source of water in the area. An exceptional of “Acacia tortilis” and baobab trees has become synonymous with the name Tarangire National Park.

After the game drive, you will start driving from the park to your hotel/lodge for the overnight

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a short, scenic drive to Manyara National Park with your picnic lunch boxes.

The Lake Manyara National Park is serene and beautiful, with the main attractions of a rich bird life, tree-climbing lions, elephants, and a large population of hippos, giraffes, and baboons that you can see at a closer range than most other places. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake and, at a certain time of the year, hosts thousands of flamingos and a diversity of other birds. Although it is one of the smallest parks, its vegetation is so diverse, enabling it to host a variety of wildlife habitats. After the game drive, during the evening hour, you will start to drive from Manyara National to your hotel for the rest and overnight.

Day 3 & 4: Manyara- Serengeti National Park (Central Seronera)

After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch for Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a half-day drive across Tanzania’s heartland, passing red-robed Maasai herding their cattle as well as the Olduvai Gorge, where the oldest hominid fossil was discovered by Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary, along the way. Arrive at the famous Serengeti National Park in time for an afternoon game drive, enjoying a blaze orange sunset as you head to camp.

Spend the next full days rising early to catch the wildlife, enjoying the view of lions sauntering past you and leopards watching you from their perch in the trees during the early morning hours.

The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers an amazing game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of elands, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle.

Day 5: Full day in Western Serengeti (Grumeti) & Game Drive

After breakfast, you will start driving toward the western Serengeti following the migration that happens in the Grumeti River. Expect to see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators.

Day 6: Full-Day Safari in Western Serengeti (Grumeti River) and Hot air balloon

Game drive along the Grumeti River to witness crocodile-infested crossings, spotting big cats, elephants, and large bird species. Also, before the game drive, you will get a chance to experience a safari from the sky with a hot air balloon. You will be taken from your lodge earlier in the morning to the launch site, where you will be given the briefing before flying.

Day 7: More Game Drives & Transfer to Central Serengeti, then Ngorongoro

Morning game drive in Grumeti Reserve or Serengeti Western Corridor after that, you will start driving to Central Serengeti (Seronera), passing through stunning landscapes, then Ngorongoro conservation area for the overnight..

Day 8: Ngorongoro crater – Moshi town or Arusha for the overnight

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro inside the Crater. Rhino Ngorongoro Lodge is located near the Ngorongoro crater, from the lodge to the crater, it’s a 35-50-minute drive. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism. Then, after spending several hours of game viewing in the crater, you will start driving back to Chanya Lodge in Moshi town overnight

Departure:

Then, from 10 am, you will be driven to Arusha airport to catch your flight, ready to fly to Zanzibar for the beach tour.
